The HGLN-CAT6JT lightning and surge protector provides superior lightning and surge protection with improved frequency response for indoor 10/100/1000 Ethernet networks. The unit has low line to line and line to ground capacitance to minimize distortion of high-speed signals. This design provides protection for both common and differential mode surges. The HGLN-CAT6JT utilizes gas discharge tubes on each pair for superior power handling capability. This protector is compatible with 802.3af/at Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. The HyperLink HGLN-CAT6-HP Lightning Protector provides superior lightning and surge protection for indoor 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet networks. The unit has low line to line and line to ground capacitance to minimize distortion of high-speed signals. The design provides protection for both common and differential mode surges. The HGLN-CAT6-HP has been designed to meet the GR-1089 Intra-Building surge protection requirements for 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet lines. In addition, the unit is compatible with 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. This device supports PoE mode A and B for power. The HGLN-CAT6-HP isolates the cable shield from the metal enclosure and the safety ground. This minimizes the chance of a ground loop being introduced. The HGLN-CAT6-HP features shielded RJ45 jacks with isolation from the metal housing and safety ground. This minimizes the chance for ground loops when using shielded cable. The unit's metal housing helps shield the effects of EMI interference and reduce signal radiation. A ground lug and terminal is provided directly on the lightning protector housing, providing superior grounding. A second ground and terminal is provided for strapping multiple units together. For maximum protection from lightning on long cable runs, two HGLN-CAT6-HP's can be used - one at each end of the cable. The use of ultra-low capacitance semiconductor protection arrays provides superior high frequency response and improved return loss for the four data pairs. The unit has low line to line and line to ground capacitance to minimize distortion of high-speed signals. The design provides protection for both common and differential mode surges. The HGLN-CAT6J is compatible with 802.3af/at Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. It supports PoE mode A and B for power as well as supporting normal and reverse polarity PoE used in some Cisco Access Points. The HGLN-CAT6J is compatible with wireless Access Points, Bridges, Client Adapters and Network Appliances with or without Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) functionality. EMI Noise Suppression The HGLN-CAT6J features shielded RJ45 jacks. This along with the HGLN-CAT6J's metal housing helps reduce the effects of EMI interference. Additional features include a ground lug and terminal is provided directly on the lightning protector housing providing superior grounding. For maximum protection from lightning on long cable runs, two HGLN-CAT6J can be used, one at each end of the cable. Hyperlink's HGLN-CAT6 Lightning Protector with improved frequency response is compatible with 10, 100 and 1000 Base -T and Gigabit Ethernet networks. This unit individually protects the 8 wires in standard "CAT5/CAT6" cable. High-speed devices clamp any voltage, positive or negative on the wires. The design uses transmission line layout techniques to maintain a balanced 100 ohm impedance in the signal path of the four pairs for minimal insertion loss and superior high frequency response.
